Spring and Summer are the most common seasons for folks to buy and sell homes. RE/MAX Results Realtor, Kevin Kalligher, offers advice for those who find themselves selling.

No. 1: Stage your home with a staging company

Kevin: Hiring a company to help arrange furniture and home decor in a way that makes the home most appealing to the highest amount of potential buyers. A well-staged home can attract more buyers and help them visualize what the space feels like and can provide a better sense of the floor plan compared to say a vacant house

If you do these things and price your house right- you will for sure be able to sell in no time at all.

No. 2: Don’t get emotional

Kevin: With people spending a longer time in their homes they might start to get more emotionally attached. This is why it’s important to have an unbiased 3rd party give their perspective.  For example you could neutralize your house

No. 3: Neutralize the house for showings

Kevin: Take your items, put them in a box, and store them in a place that’s safe and out of the way from public viewing like a garage or storage shed. The idea is to have another person imagine themselves and their lifestyle in the space.
