What’s the forecast for Grandma’s Marathon weekend?

The Storm Track Weather team is keeping a close eye on the coming days’ forecast. Warm weather will build into the region through the weekend, but Grandma’s Marathon events will take place in the cool pocket of the Northland thanks to Lake Superior and a persistent east wind.

Grandma’s Marathon, Saturday, June 17

Saturday’s half and full marathon races will begin with a temperature in the upper 40s to low 50s. A southeast wind will help to keep temperatures along the course in the mid to upper 50s. Skies will be partly cloudy overall with an increase of clouds in the late afternoon and evening.

Rain chances have continued to trend west, allowing for dry weather through the morning and afternoon. There’s a low chance for showers for tent activities heading through the evening.
