Second Eveleth man charged in connection with an assault and kidnapping allegedly involving Hells Angels

A second Eveleth man has been charged in connection to an assault and kidnapping of a man and woman allegedly involving Hells Angels.

Jerand Paul French has been charged on three counts including kidnapping to commit great bodily harm, false imprisonment, and 5th degree assault.

According to the criminal complaint, on the morning of November 27 the two unidentified victims were at their residence in Eveleth when French and three other men, one of whom has also already been charged, were provided entry.

Both victims were assaulted at their residence and one of them was brought to the Hells Angels Clubhouse in Eveleth where they were detained and continually assaulted before escaping on November 28.

Authorities executed search warrants at the Hells Angels clubhouse and at the victim’s residence last week and two men were arrested.

French turned himself in on Monday.
