Justin Liles: A few flurries but a decent Tuesday

February 12th: Light snow south shore

Light snow south shore

A weak cold front draped across northeastern Minnesota will continue to slowly slide to our southeast. The air is cold enough along with northerly winds to create some light snow along the south shore. There might be a little along the tip of the arrowhead as well. As the cold front moves farther to the east we will see Tuesday, an area of high pressure begins to move in and create a little afternoon sunshine around the region.

Temperatures will continue to be in the upper 20s and lower 30s and above average. We do begin to cool down through the end of the week. As the area of high pressure departs winds will become Blustery Thursday through the begging of next week. As far as Valentines Day goes this will be the warmest day of the week. More sunshine is expected this weekend as the temperatures begin to climb again.
