Another dry day is in store for the Northland. Today will be sunny with afternoon highs in the seventies. An east wind will keep temperatures by the lake in the fifties and sixties. Temperatures are expected to be in the low sixties for the William A Irvin 5K.

Saturday will begin with wind off the lake keeping temperatures in the fifties to low sixties for Grandma’s Marathon. Spectators may want to bring a light jacket. By the late afternoon, winds will shift to the south. Afternoon highs will be in the low seventies by Lake Superior and in the upper seventies to low eighties inland.

Sunday will be a little cooler with highs in the low seventies. Rain is likely, especially west of the Twin Ports. With dry weather expected early next week, Sunday’s rain is not expected to help much with the ongoing drought conditions.
