UMD’s Lauren Dixon named to NFCA All-Central Region First Team

Wednesday University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) softball junior pitcher Lauren Dixon was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association’s DII All-Central Region First Team.

Dixon earned a NFCA DII Pitcher of the Week nod back on April 4. She was also named Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Pitcher of the Year.

Dixon and UMD begin the NCAA regional tournament Thursday battling Missouri Southern State. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. at the Pat Lipira Softball Complex in Joplin, Missouri.
