Superior softball end as Runners-Up in their first State Championship entry

After a Superior Softball 6-3 win on Friday, they advanced to the program’s first ever state championship game Saturday against Kaukauna.

Both teams came into the game undefeated, with Kaukauna winning their last 80 games in a row as a program.

However it wasn’t the type of day the Spartans faithful were looking for, Superior pitcher Haley Zembo was great in the circle, allowing only six hits.

However Wisconsin Gatorade Player of the Year Karly Meredith helped the galloping ghosts to four runs, topping Superior 4-0.

The Spartans end the 2023 season with an overall record of 27-1.
