Prep Girls Basketball: No. 1 MIB snaps Cromwell-Wright’s win streak, Esko wins home finale

In prep girl’s basketball action Monday Mountain Iron-Buhl and Esko picked up big home wins.

Mountain Iron-Buhl (MIB), ranked first in the state in Class A, snapped Cromwell-Wright’s six game win streak in a 69-47 win. The Rangers regular season home finale win marked their 13th in a row.

Anna Neyens led with 19 points while Division I University of North Carolina commit Jordan Zubich posted 17 for MIB. Next MIB (21-3) visits Chisholm Tuesday. Cromwell-Wright (20-5) visits Braham Friday for their regular season finale.

Esko rolled past Princeton 62-42 to win their regular season home finale. The Eskomos’ Kyra Johnson led the game with 21 points.

Esko (14-9) next visits Grand Rapids Tuesday.
