Doug Trentor named NFHS Coaches Association Girls Hockey Coach of the Year

Superior’s Doug Trentor was named the 2022-2023 NFHS Coaches Association’s Girls Hockey Coach of the Year for Wisconsin.
Trentor was also named the 2023 Wisconsin Hockey Coaches Association’s Coach of the Year after the Spartans finished as the WIAA Division 1 State runner-up and a 20-6 record.
According to the NFHS, “award recipients are selected based on various criteria, including their coaching record, background, coaching honors, and involvement in community and school organizations.”
Trentor was named the Spartans head coach in June of 2020.
