The College of Saint Scholastica’s Makenzie Cole was tabbed the MIAC’s women’s hockey Defensive Player of the Week, earning the first conference award of her career.

Cole stopped 41 of the 42 shots she faced in a 2-1 win over St. Olaf this past Friday. The 41 saves tie for the second-highest single-game total of her collegiate career.

The Saints have marched to four straight wins and are fifth in the conference.
