9 UMD women’s hockey players to represent respective countries in IIHF Women’s World Championship

With the IIHF Women’s World Championship coming this week, each team has announced their roster, and there are nine total Bulldogs in the tournament.

Two of the three current bulldogs will play for Sweden, those being Ida Karlsson and Paula Bergstrom.

Nina Jobst-Smith will represent Germany to round out the current Bulldogs, then UMD gets even more international. Emma Soderberg will backstop Sweden, Ashton Bell and Jocelyn Larocque will represent Canada, and Blanka Skodova and Katerina Mrazova will represent Czechia.

The preliminary round of the IIHF Women’s World Championship starts on Wednesday.
