Understanding Addiction: Compassionate Solutions to Substance Use in our Community

Learning Nonviolent Compassionate Communication tools

Nonviolent Compassionate Communication is a method of relating to one another with a higher quality of connection.

Thrive! Family Recovery Resources is hosting a free, three-part forum that discusses compassionate solutions on how to discuss ways to address substance abuse in the Northland.

The second part is happening on Wednesday, September 20th from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Salem Lutheran Church Family Hall. Their address is 4715 Hermantown Road, Hermantown, Minnesota 55811.

Wednesday’s discussion will feature representatives from several law-enforcement agencies and will shed light on how they are working to respond to the substance use in the community.

Their last discussion will take place on Wednesday, September 27th, and will talk about the science behind opioid addiction alongside overdose awareness and naloxone training.

Light refreshments will be served at these events.
