Marvin the Gila Monster lives at the Lake Superior Zoo.

This is the largest species of native lizard in the United States. They’re also the only venomous lizard in the country.

There are no recorded deaths from Gila Monster bites, but the venom is quite painful.

They get about 3 or 4 decent sized meals per a season.

They are very slow and sluggish creatures.
