There are so many ways to jump into December and get into the holiday spirit Around Town this weekend.

Knife River Julebyen

The Julebyen Christmas Village is back in Knife River, Minn. Enjoy Scandinavian food, culture, activities, and a market. It goes from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. You can even take the North Shore Scenic Railroad from Duluth to Knife River.

Duluth Winter Village

The Duluth Winter Village will be set up on Harbor Drive behind the DECC. Local vendors will fill wood cabins with all kinds of food and gifts. There are also indoor spaces to warm up. It goes from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Garland City of the North Parade

If Duluth tries to claim the “Christmas City” title, Ashland is perfectly happy being the “Garland City.” And the Garland City of the North Parade kicks off at 4:30 p.m. Saturday on Historic Main Street.

Weihnachtsfest

In Biwabik, Saturday is Weihnachtsfest. The fun begins at 10 a.m. with activities and entertainment at several spots around town. Caroling and fireworks happen at 6 p.m. with free cocoa from Giants Ridge.
