Medical marijuana pricing controversy

Some medical marijuana patients in Minnesota are raising concerns about the cost. After the legislature approved the use of flower earlier this year, the hope was prices would come down.  Some of those patients tell us that hasn’t happened since it was introduced.

Stefanie Mulrooney of Minneapolis is a medical marijuana patient, she joined the state’s medical marijuana program after being in an accident. She was prescribed oil vapes for her migraines and topical creams for her arthritis.

She says it costs her up to $300 out of pocket because insurance doesn’t cover medical cannabis. When the flower was approved in march she had hopes that price would drop — but it didn’t.
