The College of St. Scholastica Women's basketball team is is partnering with the American Red Cross to give back on December 2nd.

The College of St. Scholastica Women’s basketball team is doing their part to give back during the holiday season. On Saturday, December 2nd, the team is partnering with the American Red Cross to make signs and holiday cards for members of the 148th fighter wing and other local military personel and veterans. Head coach Jason Schmitz says this is a great way to live out the school’s mission of service.

“We really, really just want to show love for our military members and our community members as much as possible and I truly I just believe it’s important for our players to understand the the platform they’ve been gifted and the impact they can continue to make, even in such a small manner by just writing a Christmas card,” says Coach Schmitz.

The team will have tables set up at both games this weekend where team members as well as community members will be able to write holiday cards that will eventually be delivered to local vets.
