Silver Bay Veterans Home gets $10,000 from Veterans Community Thrift Store in Hibbing

Range group donates $10,000 to Silver Bay Veterans Home

The Veterans Community Thrift Store in Hibbing dropped off a $10,000 check to the Silver Bay Veterans Home on Wednesday.

A welcome gift on Wednesday for the veterans who live at the Silver Bay Veterans Home.

A group from the Range, Veterans Community Thrift Store, brought $10,000. Proceeds from the store in Hibbing make it possible for them to make donations like this.

The money will go towards a new van for transportation.

Leaders from the vets home said they are so grateful for this donation.

We met Bill Linehan, a Minneapolis native, who is 95-years-old. He served in three branches of the military, and is loving his time at Silver Bay. “I’m floored,” he said.

The thrift store is located at: 2003 1st Avenue, Hibbing.
