Search continues for Peter Martin, reported missing March 11

Community members and authorities continue to search for 31-year-old Peter Michael Martin, who was last seen in his Mahnomen neighborhhood of the Fond du Lac Reservation on March 8. Officials provided an update on Monday afternoon.

After a brief pause requested by Peter’s family over the weekend, the search continued on Monday from the Bookston Community Center and officials ask for the communities help.

Peter Martin is being described as 5’10” tall and 185 pounds. He has a small scar on his forehead.

Since the search began, officials say 388.9 acres of Fond du Lac’s Mahnomen neighborhood have been searched with the help of community volunteers, FDL Natural Resources, FDL Conservation, the Minnesota MMIR Office, FDL Public Works, FDL Behavioral Health, and FDL ENP.

On Friday, March 15th, the Fond du Lac Police Department and volunteers were able to search 207.6 acres of terrain.
