Search for missing Itasca County woman

The Itasca County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating 45-year-old Eleanore Halverson. “Ellie” was last seen on Saturday, November 4 in Northome, Minnesota.

Authorities say Ellie was traveling with Gene “Geno” Carter in a brown early 2000 model Toyota Camry. It is unclear which direction they were headed. Ellie is 5’4″ tall and 110 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes. According to the Minnesota BCA, Ellie has a pierced nose and ears as well as a butterfly tattoo between her shoulder blades. She has a “freedom is dirty” tattoo on her left arm.

The Grand Rapids Police Department previously reported Halverson as missing on September 26th with a post on Facebook. The department’s original listing read as follows:

Eleanore Marie Halverson was last seen by loved ones on 09-17-2023 in the SE part of GR. She is reported to have been wearing jeans, a tank top, and a grey sweatshirt. “Ellie” has her nose pierced, ears pierced, a butterfly tattoo between her should blades, a “Freedom is dirty” tattoo on her left arm and has recently shaved her head.
