A local eagle scout organized a service project en route to earning a badge for his BSA.

The scout got the idea of cleaning up the area around Orange street, as his parents run by the area all the time and talk about how much garbage and other things are in that area.

While out cleaning up, there were many things that the group came across that had been thrown out. Some items were a shock to find.

“l like an engine or a propane tank or something, it was this metal container with like a hose attached to it. We found Legos. We found we found the top part of a lawn mower. I don’t know how; I don’t know why you would throw that out. Like where’s the rest of the lawn mower, you know, said Tyler Zupancich, Eagle Scout Project Organizer.

The group of around 20 people started at 9 am and picked up trash for two hours.
