Glitterati spring craft fair helps support local artists and vendors

Over at the Malting building near Clyde Iron Works, the Glitterati spring craft fair helped support Northland local artists and vendors the first weekend of March.

The Glitterati spring craft fair helped support Northland local artists and vendors the first weekend of March. Over 70 vendors sold a variety of artwork, clothes, spices, and more at the Malting building near Clyde Iron Works.

Amber Bromstrom, the owner of Glitterati Events, said events like the spring craft fair help support charities and non-profits.

“We’re here to raise money for Ronald McDonald House. We do a $5 suggested entry donation and then we also have raffles throughout the day,” Bromstrom said. “The raffles are donated by our vendors here and we’ve raised over $3,000 in November. I think we’re going to hit that number again this weekend.”

Bromstrom said the Glitterati spring craft fair on had a great turn out despite the weather conditions.

“Today’s a little slower than normal, but I think it’s about wind. But yesterday we were slamming the vendors, we had a great time,” Bromstrom said. “It was busy. Clyde here ran out of food a couple of times, so it was super busy.”

Also Bromstom said there are several other Glitterati events coming up where local vendors can get involved.

“I work with other nonprofits here in the area. We have the Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police fundraiser coming up. It’ll be at the AAD Shrine on April 7th,” Bromstrom said. “Then in May, we have a Salvation Army event going on here in this building, and they’re doing another fundraiser. I also do Spirit Valley days in the summer.”
