Pursuit of stolen vehicle ends with a three-car crash

According to the Duluth Police Department, officers were on the scene after reports of a stolen vehicle on January 10th. The vehicle was located and a stop was attempted by police near West Central Entrance but the vehicle fled to the downtown area.

A St. Louis County Deputy deployed spike strips in order to deflate the tires. A St. Louis County squad then attempted to do a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver on the vehicle. This was not successful.

After these attempts, the stolen vehicle crashed and hit two other vehicles. One of the drivers in the cars that were hit had minor injuries.

The driver of the stolen vehicle then fled on foot and was caught. The investigation is active and ongoing.
