Duluth Fiber Guild fair and sale event

Duluth Fiber Guild held their fair and sale event at the First United Methodist Church today.

On Saturday 18th of November, the Duluth Fiber Guild hosted their Fair and Sale event as part of the celebration of their 50th anniversary.

The even was held at the First United Methodist Church (The Coppertop), 230 E. Skyline Parkway. The event featured distinctive items including handwoven scarves, jewelry, wearable art, garments, fiber for spinning, handspun yarn, holiday, and home décor and more. There were hands-on activities for children, as well as demonstrations of spinning, weaving and other fiber arts.

“I think we probably have about 30 to 35 vendors here today on our sale. And all of the profits that are coming in today are going back to the artists that make the items or to the guild itself so that we can continue to do our outreach and education to the public.” – Kit Sitter, President, Duluth fiber guild.

The Duluth Fiber Guild mission is to support and to promote an understanding and appreciation of the fiber arts while supporting the education and development of individual creative potential.
