1 dead, 1 injured after Itasca County crash

A man is dead and a woman is critically injured after a crash in Itasca County on Saturday morning.
A report from the Minnesota State Patrol states that a Ford Expedition was traveling northbound on Highway 46 near Gradel Road at 5:35 a.m. when the vehicle left the road, struck a driveway approach, became airborne, and hit several trees.
37-year-old Bryan William Cicinelli, of Michigan, died as a result of the crash. The report added that he was unbelted at the time of the crash.
The 32-year-old Michigan woman who was driving was taken to St. Mary’s Duluth with life-threatening injuries, the report stated.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, officials say.
