UMD captain Noah Cates to wear ‘C’ for second straight season

He led them to the 2020 NCAA Frozen Four, and now Stillwater, Minnesota native Noah Cates is back in the captains chair at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD).

The Bulldog men’s hockey team announced Cates will don the ‘C’ for this second straight season in 2021-2022. The forward is returning for his senior year after tallying 19 points on five goals and 14 assists last season.

His A-team includes second-time assistant captain, defenseman and graduate student, Louie Roehl, grad student and forward Kobe Roth, and senior forward Tanner Laderoute.
