UMD alum Sidney Morin signs deal with Minnesota Whitecaps

She skated internationally for five years but now former Bulldog Sidney Morin is returning to the State of Hockey having signed a two year deal with the Minnesota Whitecaps.

The Minnetonka native is their first signee for the 2022-23 PHF season.

A captain her senior year she graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) in 2017 as the WCHA’s Defensive Player of the Year.

She went on to win gold for Team USA women’s hockey in 2018, then played in both the Swedish Women’s Hockey League and Swiss League. Just last season she captained the Ladies Team Lugano to the 2022 Women’s National Cup title posting 58 points in 25 regular season games.
