The Proctor Volleyball Team is kicking off their first week of practice.

Their season last year started late and ended earlier than expected as they weren’t able to compete in the postseason.

"I feel with what we went through last year, it made our team stronger. We’re a much more resilient, and flexible to roll with changes, and I think that’s only going to strengthen as we go forward this year, and I think that we will have a successful season because of it," said Proctor Volleyball Head Coach Trish Jauhola.

Leading the team are seniors Payton Rodberg, and Gabby Jauhola. Rodberg is looking for her 1000th kill while Jauhola looks to record her 2000th set assist.

The team finished with a record of 8-4 last year, but COVID-19 cut their postseason hopes short.

They will open up the season at home against Hibbing on September 2.
