Kidd nets hat-trick, Superior wins to advance in WIAA playoffs

Jakob Kidd netted a hat-trick Tuesday lifting the Superior boy’s soccer team to victory in their first-ever WIAA home playoff game.

The third seeded Spartans held off sixth seeded Chippewa Falls 5-1 at the NBC Spartan Sports Complex.

Ethan DeFoe added two goals to Kidd’s three during the victory.

They advance to face number 2 Eau Claire Memorial in the regional finals. The match is set for Saturday in Eau Claire.
