Grand Rapids falls to St. Paul Como Park in Class AAA state quarterfinals

On Wednesday the Grand Rapids girls basketball team dropped their Class AAA state tournament quarterfinal to St. Paul Como Park.
The Thunderhawks fell 76-57 to the second seeded Cougars at Maturi Pavilion in Minneapolis. Taryn Hamling led Grand Rapids tallying a team-high 20 points in their second straight state tournament appearance.
The Thunderhawks (25-4) will now face Detroit Lakes in the consolation semifinals Thursday. Tip-off is set for 4pm at Concordia University’s Gangelhoff Center. For the bracket, click here.
