Brandon Weatherz: Seasonable September weekend ahead

It’ll be a touch warmer today as we head into a seasonable September weekend. Our Friday is partly cloudy with highs ranging from upper 60s east toward Butternut to mid-70s west by Grand Rapids. The Twin Ports will see a spread from 68 on the hill to 62 by the lake. Tonight will be partly cloudy with temperatures continuing to trend warmer looking from east to west. Lows range from low 40s to mid-50s with low 50s in the Twin Ports. Saturday sends low to mid-70s across east central Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. Mid and upper 60s reach from the Twin Ports across much of northeast Minnesota.

We stay dry today. Scattered showers are possible overnight in north central Minnesota near the international border. Rain chances stay north over the Arrowhead Saturday morning, then widespread showers arrive from the west through our Saturday afternoon and evening. Rain moves eastward across northwest Wisconsin Saturday night into Sunday morning. Monday brings another round of light rain. Highs will be consistently in the 60s starting Sunday and continuing through the middle of next week.
