Quiet weather carries us through the start of the workweek. Our Monday begins with temps ranging from upper 20s locally in northern Minnesota to mid-40s in parts of Wisconsin where thicker clouds lingered overnight. The clearer areas west of the Twin Ports are frosty with patchy fog. Highs range from upper 40s looking east toward Ironwood to upper 50s west near Brainerd with low 50s in the Twin Ports under a mix of clouds and sun.

High pressure brings the ingredients for frost tonight with light winds and mostly clear skies. Most areas bottom out in the 30s with upper 20s possible in the cool pockets. As has been the case consistently this fall, expect milder conditions to be found immediately near Lake Superior.

Tuesday will continue the quiet trend with partly cloudy skies. Temps get a slight boost as a south wind sends highs into 50s and 60s. A weak low pressure system brings scattered showers from the west Tuesday night into Wednesday as it crosses the region. The low moves east on Thursday with lingering showers mostly limited to Wisconsin. There’s a low chance for rain Friday. Otherwise, a generally quiet and seasonable weekend is expected.
