Justin Liles: Possible strong PM Storms

A few passing pieces of energy may give us a couple of chances of storms during the evening hours this weekend. Stronger pm storms are possible Saturday afternoon and evening with the main threat being large hail and damaging winds. Periodic chances for showers and storms are likely going into Sunday and next week with a gradual trend for much warmer weather. Highs in the upper 80s to mid 90s are quite possible around mid- week. Some breezy conditions may accompany the hot weather at times. The only relief maybe by the lake. Starting Monday winds will be off the lake and shoreline communities will be much cooler in the upper 60s and 70s. This will be a scenario Monday through Thursday where the temperature on top of the hill will likely be over 20° F warmer than downtown. Canal park maybe the perfect place to go to beat the heat.
