Justin Liles: Nice start to work week

High pressure stretched from Saskatchewan into the Upper Midwest this afternoon with dry conditions across the Northland. Dry conditions will prevail into Tuesday before rain chances return for the latter half of the week. Before then there is a chance of seeing the return of Canadian wildfire smoke later Monday into Tuesday.

Most of the smoke looks to stay in the upper levels and not mix to the ground like we’ve seen many times this year. A weak cold front will slide through late Tuesday into Wednesday and bring a chance of some stronger Thunderstorms. Temperatures will slowly warm into midweek before returning to more seasonal values for late week and into the weekend. The end of the week and first half of the weekend looks great with a chance of showers returning Sunday night.
