We have had a misty, foggy, and wet day here across the Northland. Sprinkles and isolated showers will be coming to an end this evening. The next chance for widespread rain arrives on Friday, with showers and thunderstorms likely across a large portion of the Northland. A few storms in north-central Minnesota could become strong too severe on Friday afternoon and evening.

This would include the Brainerd lakes area, Aitkin, and Grand Rapids. This weekend will see additional chances for precipitation, mainly around the Borderlands and north of the Iron Range. Locations farther south will be seeing little to no precipitation this weekend with partly to mostly sunny skies. Temps will be increasing to well above normal this weekend, with highs reaching into the mid-70s to low 80s on Sunday.
