Justin Liles: Heat & Humidity stick around

A large ridge of hot air extending for Texas to western Ontario, Canada is baking the middle third of the country including the Northland. Temperatures away from the lake will continue to be in the mid to upper 80s to low 90s. On top of the heat, dew points are set to climb in the 60s and close to 70 in our western viewing area. This is going to create uncomfortable conditions through at least Thursday.

Starting Thursday, it does look as if our pattern is going to begin to change heading into the weekend. We may finally get a good soaking of rain. Most of the rain and storm activity looks as if it will fall late Friday through Sunday with Saturday being the wettest. Some stronger storms are possible with gusty winds and possibly hail on Saturday. Temperatures will cool down all over beginning this weekend too.
