Justin Liles: Frost possible overnight

Skies will continue to clear out as we head into the overnight hours. This will cool us off significantly and lead to one of two things. Areas of frost is likely away from the lake. As temperatures cool off this evening, plant life may see some frost develop. There is a frost advisory for all over the region, but areas away from the lake are likely candidates for frost. If you are worried about plant life, you may want to bring your plants in or cover them up.

If you live near the lake, you will likely see fog and no frost. This is the second thing. Lake Superior water temperatures will help keep the shoreline communities much warmer. Temperatures will increase along with more sunshine Thursday. Southerly winds will bring in some more moisture and as a cold front swing through late, more rain is possible Thursday night into Friday. Some light rain is possible over the weekend, but it looks as if we’ll see more clouds than sun. Hopefully, we see more sunshine as this weekend is Chester Bowl Fall fest.
