This winter season is now the 9th snowiest in Duluth’s history and some residents are still digging out after some areas saw as much as 13 inches this past weekend.

“Oh yeah we had to dig out,” said Braedon Otto, a Kenwood neighborhood resident. “The snowplows came through and piled it up at the end of our driveway. So I got out to shovel so that my roommate could get to class.”

With the main roads mostly clear, plows are making progress on residential streets.

“Oh, I’m prepared for summer,” said Otto. “I’m definitely done shoveling. We’ve gone through about four shovels at our house right now, and we have five roommates. So, we’re down to the last one here.”

Duluth residents can expect a break from the snow for a few days, but it looks like there’s more coming this weekend.
