Less than a month ago Brett Skinner departed Cloquet to become the new head coach of the USHL’s Fargo Force.

The Minnesota Wilderness wasted no time, naming Colten St. Clair as the sixth head coach in team history late last month. Now the new bench boss is in the heat of his first tryout camp.

“Really just looking forward to the development overall with the players, helping them move on and get to somewhere they didn’t even know possible. There is just no better feeling as a coach than helping people become better individuals and then forming a team together that loves each other and wants to be a part of something bigger than themselves. Once you see all the all the players roll in, you know you want the season to start right away, so it’s a pretty good time so far,” stated St. Clair.

After main tryouts end this Sunday the finalized roster will be posted. The Wilderness’ season opener is September 9th at home against the Anchorage Wolverines.
