The University of Minnesota-Duluth women’s soccer team used a strong second half to overcome a 1-0 deficit and defeat Northern State, 3-1.

The Bulldogs went into the half down 1-0, which marked the 223rd minute in which they hadn’t scored a goal.

That would quickly change though, as a penalty kick goal by Anna Tobias knotted things up at 1-1.

Jacqueline Jares followed that up with a penalty kick goal of her own to put the Bulldogs ahead 2-1, and then scored another within the minute to extend the lead to 3-1.

The Bulldogs are now 1-1-1 and look ahead to St. Cloud State on Friday, September 15th.
