UMD women’s hockey Soderberg named finalist for IIHF POTY

University of Minnesota Duluth women’s hockey graduated senior goalie Emma Soderberg has been named one of seven candidates of the International Ice Hockey Federation’s female player of the year.
Not only did she have a career year in Duluth with 12 shutouts, but in the 2023 IIHF Women’s World Championship, Soderberg saved 51 of 54 shots, helping Sweden push Canada to overtime.
She also finished with a save percentage of .935 and was named to the All-Star team.
