UMD tight end Zach Ojile signs with Minnesota Vikings

He spent five years in maroon and gold as a Bulldog and now Zach Ojile will be suiting up in purple and gold. Monday afternoon the tight end was officially signed by the Minnesota Vikings.

The former two-time University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) football captain, and Blaine, Minnesota native, proved himself at Vikings Rookie Mini-Camp last week earning a spot on the 90-man roster.

He will now look to become the first Bulldog since 2014 to make a final 52-man NFL roster.

Last fall at UMD Ojile totaled 25 catches for 289 yards and five touchdowns. He also added 12 carries for 53 yards and three rushing touchdowns.
