Two UMD Men’s hockey players were given weekly awards on Monday.

Senior Zach Stejskal was named the NCHC Goaltender of the Week, after his impressive 32 save performance in their season opener against Michigan Tech. He posted a .941 save percentage, the highest of any NCHC goaltender.

Anthony Menghini was awarded the NCHC Rookie of the Week after his goal, the first of his collegiate career.

His goal gave the Bulldogs a lead in the third period. He also scored in the exhibition shootout that UMD ended up winning.

Stejskal, Menghini and the Bulldogs are back on the ice against Northern Michigan on Friday.
