UMD Football suffers first loss of season despite valiant effort

The UMD football team took a road trip to Wayne, Nebraska, in hopes of returning home with a 6-0 record.

Unfortunately for them, they were held to a season low two touchdowns, and they fell to Wayne State, 28-18.

In addition to the touchdown total, the Bulldogs were also held to their second lowest offensive yard total of the year with 337.

The game was broken open when Latravious Boyd took a 75 yard run to the end zone to put Wayne State up 21-10.

UMD returns home to host University of Mary at Malosky Stadium at 12 p.m.
