A new season of rebuilding the team is on the minds of the coaching staff of the Minnesota Wilderness.

The organization is currently underway in its main tryout camp, and the coaches know what they are looking for; they share one main thing with all the players before they hit the ice.

“Competing is the biggest thing! I think when you get to these tryout camps, you try to do a little bit too much at times. I really emphasize with the whole group and the whole camp to just play to your identity. If you a third shutdown line center then be that, because we might need that piece, and if you try to be something else you might miss out on that opportunity to be a part of the wilderness,” said head coach Colton St. Clair.

The camp tryout will continue Friday and Saturday at Wessman Arena in Superior from 9 am to 2 pm, then again from 4 pm to 9 pm. The public is welcome to attend all camp on-ice events at no charge.
