Every year, NFL teams can be caught wearing a special or new uniform during the season. The Minnesota Vikings will be donning a throwback look to kick off the 2023 season.
The Vikings unveiled a “classic uniform” to season ticket members during a virtual event on Tuesday that featured Vikings Legend and Hall of Famer Fran Tarkenton and current fullback CJ Ham.
The jersey will pay homage to the Vikings squads from the 1960s and 1970s. The style was worn by the Vikings through the team’s first 45 seasons.
The classic uniforms will be worn during the Vikings 2023 season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, September 10, at U.S. Bank stadium.
