The Esko Girl’s soccer team hit the pitch with a purpose on Tuesday night against Grand Rapids, with hopes of extending their win streak to six and continuing their undefeated season.

Neither team would score in the match, however, and the game would end in a 0-0 tie.

Although it was Esko with the pressure for most of the match, it was Ryan Martinson of Grand Rapids who almost netted the game winner with three minutes to go. Esko goalkeeper Hannah Roemer made the big save to keep the game scoreless.

Looking ahead, Esko goes to Hermantown on Thursday while Grand Rapids travels to Duluth Marshall as they try to find their second win of the season.
