Duluth Huskies split home doubleheader with Rochester Honkers

The Duluth Huskies returned home after a six game road stretch, where they went 4-2, to host the Rochester Honkers Wednesday for a Northwoods League doubleheader.

The Huskies would drop game one 8-5, then rallied to win 3-1 in game two and split the day.

Defense was the story of game two as Duluth’s pitchers Alex Potter and Austin Humphres allowed just five total hits dishing out a combined 12 strikeouts. Trailing 1-0 in the 8th Caleb Corbin would triple driving in three runs to win the game for the Huskies.

Corbin also led the team in game one recording two RBI, two hits and one run.

Next the Huskies will host the Waterloo Bucks Thursday at 6:35 p.m. back at Wade Stadium.
