Duluth Huskies fall short of comeback in series opener with Border Cats
Fresh off the heels of a series sweep, the Duluth Huskies fell just short of a comeback win, falling to the Thunder Bay Border Cats 7-6 on Sunday.
The Huskies were blanked for the first three frames, unable to muster up any sort of offense, all the while trailing 3-0.
The Huskies put up two runs in the bottom of the 4th, 6th, and 7th though, but eventually gave up three runs in the top of the 8th and couldn’t make up the difference.
The Huskies and Border Cats are back in action Monday at 6:35 p.m..
