Summertime is making its way to town, and that comes another season of Duluth FC soccer here in the Northland.

The Bluegreens are fresh off their first win of the season, after winning 3-0 last Saturday against Minnesota Twinstars FC.

The team is looking forward to having a good season as they are returning ten to eleven players and recruiting a lot of new players from across the country. Along with top-division college soccer players.

“We added another ten brand-new guys, so it’s good to have that continuity year over year. It helps because they know what I’m looking for in the league, and they have that little bit of experience from kind of previously going through a summer; and they can pass that on to the new guys as well,” said head coach Sean Morgan.

The Duluth FC home opener is set for this Saturday against Sioux Falls Thunder FC. Game time set for 7:00 p.m.

“From what I’ve seen in practice it is a high level. So hopefully we can translate that into games and make for some exciting seven, eight, nine, ten hopefully home games that we have this summer,” concluded Morgan.
