Duluth East boys soccer shuts out Denfeld for fifth straight rivalry win

On Thursday the Duluth East boys soccer team earned their fifth straight rivalry win over Duluth Denfeld.
The Greyhounds earned the 3-0 shutout win at home. Jackson Whitehill scored their first goal in the first half to lead 1-0 at the break.
East improves to 5-3-3 and next visits Mounds View Saturday. Denfeld (2-6-2) next hosts Cloquet-Esko-Carlton Tuesday at 7p.m.
Earlier in the day Duluth East girls soccer earned a 1-0 victory in their rivalry match with Denfeld. Lilly Kuettel scored the lone goal.
